The monstrous 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has emerged from the lair of the mad scientists at Ford America and it’s faster and angrier than ever before.
Ford have released its debut promo video for the 2017 F-150 Raptor, and we’re a little bit excited.
The New Raptor is leaner and meaner, thanks to a 220kg weight loss and a transition from a 6.2L V8 to Ford’s all-new twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve high-output 3.5L EcoBoost. Ford claim the new donk will pump out more power than the larger V8 and will be able to deliver it to wheels thanks to a 10 speed automatic transmission with manual shifting mode.
The Raptor has a whole bag of new goodies, including 3.0-inch FOX Racing Shox™* with custom internal bypass technology, which makes for fantastic on road comfort and awesome off-road capability.
It’s not just the stuff under the bonnet – the Raptor is one mean looking piece of machinery. With its signature Ford grill, beefed up exterior and huge wheels it’s definitely a head turner.
There have been rumours floating around that this beast will be headed to Australia with a right hand drive conversion.
Nothing has been confirmed by Ford America or Ford Australia yet, but we hope it’s only a matter of time.
