For more than 100 years the Mater has been committed to providing compassionate health care to all Queenslanders Queenslanders following the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy and with an emphasis on the values of dignity, mercy, care, commitment and quality.
Mater Foundation is the charitable arm of Mater Health Services and Mater Medical Research Institute. The foundation aims to promote, engage and steward philanthropic support to fund clinical care, education and research for the prevention and treatment of disease in people of all ages.
Funds raised through the Mater Lotteries and donations received by Mater Foundation fund the purchase of life-saving medical equipment and improve patient facilities, ensure Mater’s world-renowned research team continues to find better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately cure life-threatening diseases, and develops important health care projects which address unmet community needs.
